This design came to fruition because of problems people were having with regular breathing mask and snorkels. People reported that the mask would fog us. That if they dived down that the snorkel would fill up with water and they felt like they were drowning.
Other people reported that it was very hard to breathe with a regular snorkel as we are mainly nose breathers, no mouth breathers.
So Tribord took all these considerations into account and came up with a new revolutionary idea.
What if they made the mask bigger, so you could see a greater depth of field?
What if they made it so that there was a one-way valve at the top of the snorkel so no water could come in?
What if they made it so you could breathe through your nose so that you didn’t feel suffocated.
Well, they put their heads together and came out with the Easybreath mask.
The first full-face snorkeling mask allowing you to breathe just as easily and naturally underwater as you would on land, through the nose and mouth. This innovative mask provides a large and unobstructed 180° field of vision and is prevented from fogging up by a dual air flow system, identical to the ones found in domestic extraction fans.
To stop water re-entering the snorkel, the Easybreath mask is equipped with a mechanism which seals the top of the snorkel when submerged. Furthermore, the snorkel is highly visible to avoid any collisions on the surface. Source
As you can see from the picture above, the mask fits fully over the face allowing you an 180-degree view.
They just received their easy breath masks after having bad experiences with regular masks and snorkels and they are off to try them out.

After researching the EasyBreath by Tribord I found that other companies have built on the technology. Seaview has a GoPro Compatible model and you can see all the versions here on Amazon as well as the reviews.
In the meantime… check out the video below to see the technology in action.
